Popular rapper, Twista, has been sued by the family of a bodyguard who was killed in an auto accident on a Pennsylvania highway.
The wrongful death lawsuit states that the negligence of Twista, his management, and the driver of the van that crashed on I-90 in Pennsylvania, lead to the death of Arthur Dixon.
According to the wrongful death lawsuit, Twista was to perform a show in Albany, N.Y., but the concert was cancelled, so they returned to Chicago.
Otis Bankhead, who allegedly did not have a valid driver's license, was driving the van that contained Dixon, Twista and four others, the lawsuit said. While on I-90 the van left the roadway twice, collided with several road barriers and then rolled several times, causing the passengers to be thrown from the van.
Dixon died the next day from his injuries.
The wrongful death suit alleges Bankhead failed to stay awake and alert while driving, and also failed to drive at a safe speed.
This is the second lawsuit against Twista regarding the Pennsylvania auto accident. Renaldo Jones, a passenger in the van who was seriously injured in the auto accident, recently filed a personal injury lawsuit against Twista and his management team.
