A West Virginia minor claims he got so drunk at a Monongalia bar that he fell down 20 steps which resulted in severe head injuries.
Adam Corcoran claims Z Club allowed him to get so intoxicated that he fell down a flight of stairs and seriously injured himself.
As a patron of the bar, he somehow managed to illegally be drinking. However, Corcoran's claim is that he was so intoxicated that anyone could tell and that the bartender should have followed state law and cut him off regardless of his age.
Corcoran fell down almost 20 stairs causing personal injury and head trauma. Immediately, Z Club bouncers discovered he was unconscious and got him immediate medical attention.
The personal injury lawsuit states that when Corcoran reached the hospital, it was discovered that he was not only underage and intoxicated, but that his blood alcohol level was .42, much higher than the legal limit of 0.08.
Medical tests showed he had a closed head injury, a fractured left temporal bone, partial paralysis on the left side of his face, loss of hearing, slurred speech, and severe headaches.
Corcoran is seeking a trial by jury to compensate him for medical bills, compensatory damages and attorney's fees.
